Henry's
About This Spot
Tucked away in the heart of Chepstow’s Beaufort Square, Henry’s welcomes you into an inviting nook where the pace slows just enough to savor the moment. From the moment you step inside Conrad House, there’s a gentle hum of conversation, the clink of glasses, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee blending with subtle hints of herbs and spices from the kitchen. This is a place that thoughtfully bridges the gap between a bustling brunch spot and a relaxed evening retreat, making it equally suited for a lively midday catch-up or an intimate nightcap.
The atmosphere here is quietly warm, layered with soft lighting that deepens as daylight fades, wrapping the space in a cozy glow. It’s easy to feel at ease, whether settling in at one of the small tables with friends or perching at the bar to watch expertly crafted cocktails come to life. The staff, attentive without intrusion, add a personal touch that echoes the genuine spirit of a neighborhood favorite—friendly faces who know regulars by name and welcome newcomers like old friends.
Henry’s menu reveals a thoughtful care for both comfort and freshness, where classic brunch staples are reimagined—imagine a bagel perfectly paired with silky cream cheese and smoked salmon, or gluten-free pancakes glazed with maple syrup and bacon. Beyond daylight hours, the cocktail list takes center stage, showcasing refined yet familiar favorites like the Old Fashioned or an Aperol Spritz, each drink served with a quiet artistry that elevates the experience without ceremony. And for those seeking a quiet moment, the rich, velvety oat milk hot chocolate or a sharp espresso offer a small pause of pleasure.
This is a spot where moments are as considered as the menu—a cozy lunch on a drizzly September day, a leisurely brunch shared with friends, or a relaxed evening unwinding with a drink in hand. Henry’s holds a soft promise: a place to feel grounded, connected, and quietly joyful in the simple pleasures of good company and well-crafted food and drink.

A cosy lunch, with great service and tasty food. I had a Croque Monsieur Bagel which was delicious. Very enjoyable aon a wet September morning.

Came here for lunch on a rainy Saturday with friends and had a really enjoyable experience. Good food at a really reasonable price for portions, delicious blackberry cocktail, friendly helpful staff and a warm ambiance. Enjoyed our time and our friends want to come back here the next time they are visiting. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

What a lovely find! Popped in for breakfast today, it is kept well cleaned and socially distanced with a really friendly welcome and service. The food is absolutely lush and so nicely presented, for really reasonable prices. A well thought out, laid back atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit for breakfast!

Henry's is a very valuable place to have in Chepstow. The atmosphere inside is lovely, and at night it becomes very cosy with the softer lighting. You pay more for the cocktails compared to other local venues in town, but they are a cut above everything else. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. We haven't eaten here but would love to try it in the near future.

Absolutely lovely place! Went a couple nights ago with a friend and we had a wonderful time :)) I’d recommend the old fashioned and the Berry based cocktail. I think we got served by the owner and he was so skilled!

Went for breakfast. Bagels were amazing, had Brie n Bacon and a Breakfast bagel. Lovely comfy chairs in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Very good coffee (had Americano).. Good wheelchair access too.

Always had a good experience although does often seem to be out of ingredients for brunch. But lovely spot, great atmosphere and lots of choice. One of the top two go-to places for a nice cocktail or brunch in town
